Appetite pt.2

So we have been talking about appetite and I really have been wondering why do we do the things that we know are not good for us.  Have you ever thought about it before?  I heard Damon Thompson say the other day that good seed planted in good soil does produce good fruit ,but not always.  He said that if you take an orange seed and plant it in Idaho that tree will not grow and produce fruit.  Both seed and soil is good.  He then went on to say that the reason it doesn’t grow is because of the atmosphere that the seed and soil is in.  You can produce orange trees in Idaho but they have to be put in a hot house.  Which made me think.  If we want to have an appetite for the good things then we must be around the good things.  There are seeds both good and bad that are being planted in us every day.  Depending on the atmosphere that we are in determines which seed comes out and that type of fruit we produce.  So it would be safe to say that at first you may not like something ,but after you acquire a taste or an appetite for it you will then begin to crave that thing.  So the question is are we craving wrong things?  Then look at your appetite.  Then look at what atmosphere you are in.  This has challenged me because it is easy to have the appetite of t.v or Internet.  So what do you think about this?
