Appetite pt.1
This post I want to talk about the appetite. As you know our lives are based off of appetites. If you have never tasted of something or partook in something you will not want it. Here is an example: when I first tasted soft serve ice cream I immediately fell in love with it and now even as I type I have a desire to go get some. So it would be safe to say that we are creatures of appetite. Usually when we talk about appetite it is dealing with food. I do have an appetite for fresh gulf shrimp from the Original Oyster House in Alabama anytime! I have to stop I am wanting to make a trip there.
Today’s talk is more about the appetite of the soul. As I said earlier you can’t have an appetite for something that you have not experienced before. However we are made as creatures of God to be totally consumed with Jesus. So I want to convey to you that while we are living our life we have to really try Jesus. When I say try Jesus I am not saying to just go to church on Sunday and go to some type of mid-week gathering. I am talking about getting by yourself and eating Jesus. We have to understand that we build our own appetite. I would be willing to say most alcoholics did not try their first beer and say I want to be an alcoholic. No, what that person did was they kept trying and trying it until they began to acquire a taste for it. Now I believe that once you have really tasted of Jesus you will never be the same. Your soul no matter how hard you try to reject Him will cry out for Him. That is it for today give me your feedback with part 1.

Hey Pastor Paul,
Yeah that was really eye opening to me! And i find it so true from some experience that no matter how hard you try to push jesus away your soul is still searching and longing for that fullfillment! It was really encouraging hearing those words because it gives me hope to keep striving to have a daily relationship with HIM!

Great insights. We have to starve our old appetites that are ungodly and feed ourselves on godliness so until we love what we used to hate and hate what we used to love. Miss yall!
